Extra Dates for a Midsummer Night’s Dream at Kew<\/h3>\n

The Australian<\/a> Shakespeare Company’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Kew Gardens opened to rave reviews and has just confirmed the additional dates.<\/p>\n

Staged beneath the heritage trees at the Theatre Lawn, behind the Palm House, Kew Gardens provides the picture-perfect setting for a summer’s evening with Shakespeare under the stars.<\/p>\n

Described as ‘magical’ by The Stage, this beguiling comedy of enchantment and transformation is brought to life within a dream-like woodland, filled with feuding fairies, eloping lovers and a hapless troupe of actors.<\/p>\n

\u201cLively, accessible outdoor production with some impressive lighting effects. Glenn Elston directs with pace and imagination, while lighting designer Peter Amesbury weaves his own kind of magic.\u201d – The Stage<\/p>\n

It’s an alfresco romp peppered with contemporary references. Into the mix add a spellbinding potion and a mischievous sprite for a summer night of mayhem like no other.<\/p>\n
